Valentino Couture - Paris Couture Fashion Week Fall/Winter 20120-2013

While designer duo Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli have certainly put their signature stamp on Valentino, it’s not all about sugary sweet and strawberries this time around.  Valentino’s Fall/Winter 2012 couture collection featured edgier and experimental motifs including navy blue dress with cutouts and geometric shapes as well as yellow brocade and bold red.  The floral chiffon was there, but it didn’t make the same statement.  Chiuri called it "sensual but severe.”

Vienna Fashion Night 2012 - Vienna, Austria

Vienna celebrates its second-annual Vienna Fashion Night, where events promoting Viennese designers and fashion take place and boutiques are open late at night.  An open-air fashion show featuring works by designers like Peter Pilotto, Herve Leger, Versus, and Mary Katrantzou is a big highlight of the night with proceeds from the entire event going to the Austrian Heart Foundation.

Jean Paul Gaultier - Paris Couture Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2012-2013

When it comes to Jean Paul Gaultier couture, we can always expect something out-of-the-box.  This Fall/Winter 2012-2013 season is no different, with JPG once again playing on masculine/feminine themes and using his tuxedo style to do it.  The collection included tuxedos and tailcoats on opening model Erin O’Connor and dresses on male model Andrej Pejic. Karlie Kloss also wore a gold jumpsuit and Hanaa Ben Abdesslem wore a Gaultier style wedding gown. Unforgettable images in an unforgettable show.

Zuhair Murad - Paris Couture Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2012-2013

There’s a reason why Jennifer Lopez has gotten her hands on Zuhair Murad and ones of those reasons has to be his understanding of a woman’s shape.  The models themselves, including Constance Jablonski who closed out this couture collection in a gorgeous wedding gown, have said it themselves.  His work is intricate and incredible with exquisite fabrics, eye-popping illusion lace, peplum hemlines, velvet, and 20s motifs.  Yes, this designer had it all for Fall/Winter 2012-2013 at Paris Couture Fashion Week and we can’t wait to see which celebrity he’ll dress next.
